Using the set of certified scales our EAA chapter owns we did the weight a balance today.
It came out at 764 lbs with coolant and oil but drained fuel. Empty CG is 34.91" with a specified acceptable range of 31.72" to 41.92".
Of course this is heavier than we hoped but we know the paint job is heavy. The factory says empty of 740 lbs but we don't know if this dry weight or with oil and coolant.
I called Mark at RMK and he said this is right where S-20's with a Rotax 912 should be. Alina's S-20 with a 914 is 30 some lbs heavier than my plane.
