Brief Description: Finish machining front float fittings
I finished machining the front float fittings. The top one in the picture has the Kitfox swivel fitting installed in it. These parts came from Zenair as part of the Kitfox installation kit. There was one problem with the swivel fittings. Three of the swivel hole were 1/4" while the fourth fitting had a 5/16" hole in it. I had to drill the remaining three fittings to 5/16" for my fuselage fittings.
The fuselage fittings bolt to the outboard airframe bushings used for tailgragger gear. One of the holes in my fittings is a round hole while the other is slotted as on the Rans gear plates to allow for variations in the locations of the fuselage bushings.
