Brief Description: finish bottom rear skin and start front skin
Today I finished assembling and riveting the rear skin and began the process to assemble the front bottom skin. Since the front skin needs to follow the contour of the curve of the bottom of the float it must be forced into position for the rivet holes to line up. Pat helped me with this. Since we ran out of time and don't want to open another tube of 5200 for just half the skin I wait until I have time to assemble both sides.
I also installed the plastic plugs into the welded fittings for the spreader bars for this first float.
