Brief Description: Building the fuselage jigs and longerons - part 1
Making the jigs was actually a little frustrating. I kept messing up the pieces. The plans call for the jigs to be made out of 2 pine 1” by 8” by 10” pieces. I think I went through about 6. If I were to do it again I would stay away from the cheap knotty pine and pay up for the select pine and also buy a little extra from the start. That would also save extra trips to Home Depot. I used the router method to cute the jigs which in the end resulted in perfect jigs. For the curved jigs I made one perfect jig and created three exact replicates using my router. Those two dogs are my helpers. Actually, they are forbidden to enter my workshop without permission. This was a special visit.
