Brief Description:  Rudder Stiffeners

I got home early (Thursdays) and began to work about 3:30. I deburred the right side rudder stiffeners. I used a partial sheet of 1/2 OSB on one of the benches to layout and match-drill the stiffeners to the rudder skins. As suggested in the manual, I drilled right into the bench top (OSB) and secured the stiffeners to skins with clecos. I match-drilled all holes then did the other side. I deburred all of the stiffener holes and skin holes. The skins on the rudder are veryu thin, so you need to only go around once or twice with the speed deburring tool. Anymore and you might end up with knife edge hole. I used the pneumatic squeezer to dimple all of the stiffeners (God, I love this tool!) I used the DRDT-2 dimpler to do both skins. After putting all my tools away and a quick shop sweep-up, I was ready to call it a day. I've come as far a I can without priming, so tomorrow I will check each part and deburr anything that still needs it. Then it will be time to prime! I got my primer delivered from Aircraft Spruce today......so I'm all set to go!
