Tonite I got started on the rudder. The first thing was to mark and cut the R-915 rudder stiffeners. I marked as shown on the plan, then cut with aviation snips. I then layed out the left & right skins and trimmed all the stiffeners to match. I used the bench sander to square the ends and to even out the trimmed lines. I slightly rounded the corners and then went over each piece w/ the scotch-brite wheel. I got all the left side stiffeners done. It takes a long time to deburr these pieces, so I decided to take a break after doing the left side. I fired up the soildeing iron and began to remove the strips off the rudder skins. Before I knew it, it was 10:00 and I decided to call it a night. I wll continue to remove the plastic and deburr the right side stiffeners tomorrow
