I still have a few rivets to finish up on the wings, so I have not taken them off of the stands yet. I will do those rivets with Wendy's help on Sunday. In the mean time, I attached the right flap to the wing to see what it looked like.....I like it! Today I worked on the left flap until I finished it! I then attached it on the wing and now I have both flaps done! I will buy a gallon of Alumiprep tomorrow so I can get the aileron parts ready to prime. The ailerons are much smaller than the flaps and there are no ribs, so final assembly should go much faster. I would like to say that the final assembly on the left flap went smoother than the right. As I get more into this project, I can tell that I am getting very good at riveting......Not just the mechanic of riveting, but being able to make sure the pieces are tight together with no gaps and nice heads on the finished rivet.....I guess practice makes perfect....
