Brief Description: Riveted flap and aileron brackets to wings
It's Friday and I have the Day Off! I started on the build about 8:30 this morning. The left wing was on the agenda. I start by riveting the aileron brackets and flap brackets. Part bucking and part squeezing. Next cam the gap fairings. These fairings help with a clean look in the gap between the wing and control sufaces. Everything is fitting perfectly!
I broke for lunch then repeated the morning's work on the right wing. It is nice to get to final assembly on these parts that I have drilled, deburred, dimpled, countersunked, cleaned, scrubbed with alumiprep, alodined, and primed! I love it!! I continued by starting to backrivet the skin stifferner on the inside of the aileron skins. I did the left wing, top & bottom before I quit. It is 5:30 and time for a break. I got a full day in on the plane and feel good! I think I'll make some dinner and check out a pay per view movie........
