Brief Description:  Back to the Build.... 500 HOURS AND COUNTING!

I'm Back......it has been 3 months since I worked on the plane and updated this web site. As you may or may not know; I am a home builder and real estate developer. Michigan's housing and developing market has hit rock bottom and my company and I have been in survivor mode for the past several months. I, along with my partners, have been trying to save the business and I've been too busy or too tired to work on the plane. I also feel a little guilty working on the plane when I don't have any income (houses are NOT selling). I've done just about all I can do and I've decided to start working on the plane again. (I'll figure out some way to stay in business.....). It has been a cold April, so I haven't had any days to do the priming I need to to. I have been working on the shop. I added some cabinets and counter tops, along with some shelving. I also cleaned everything up. Tonight I got all the parts for the ailerons and the flaps and scrubbed them with alumiprep and then coated them in alodine. These part are ready to prime. I have a feeling I will have some time on my hands in the next few months, so I plan to get alot done on the plane. I will get some pictures of the shop tomorrow. Oh, I almost forgot....I've also come up with a paint scheme for the plane. I did it on AutoCad so I will have a good record of it. I like it alot, but I'm sure it will be revised over the next year or so....(feels good to be back to work on the plane!)
