Today I got Wendy again for a couple of hours. We riveted on the outboard top skin on the left wing. She was really getting into it and we had a lot of fun together ('cause we're both goofy and silly). Wendy said she feels 'closer' to the project, now that she has done some of the work. We did all of the ribs before she quit. I continued to do the rear spar rivets (bucked those). I Then clecoed the spanwise stringer into place. We still need to do the rivets at the leading edge (by the main spar) and I also have a few that I have drilled out and need to replace. Wendy had to get ready for work and I was still motivated, so I jumped ahead and began to work on the flaps.I did all of the prep work in section 7-13. All the parts for 3 hinge brackets are clecoed together, then drilled. I used the spacers and the angle parts I had previously fabricated and they fit perfectly! Image three shows these parts assembled. the heavy alum. angle piece will have the swivel arm attached for flap control.
