I continued on the flap brackets tonight. I match drilled the middle bracket on each wing & clecoed it to the frame. Next the bracket needs to be re-inforced with angle pieces (previously fabricated). The re-inforcement pieces need to be positions properly before drilling. First the W-925C is clamped in position, then drilled and clecoed to the rear spar. Once I am sure the piece is correct, I drilled it to the rib and bracket. The next re-inforcement angle piece it the W-925B. This piece joins the bracket, rib & bottom skin. The piece is positioned, then drilled to the spar. This hole is then countersunk and clecoed in place. The piece needs to be flush with the skins, so a straight edge is used to butt the piece up to the skin line. Once this is done, I clamped and drilled the rest of the holes. I continued to do the other 2 bracket assemblys. The bottom skin is then clecoed in positons to match drill the W-925B parts. That's all I got to tonight. I will do the other wing brackets later. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and I probably won't work on the plane till Tuesday, Dec. 26.......Hopefully riveting on the top skins (if my helpers come through.....)
