Tonight I tackled the right wing leading edge. I clecod the L.E. in place and began to rivet the ribs to the spar. This time I used my squeezer to do all the rivets close to the access holes in the spar. I then bucked the other rivets. It went much faster than the left wing (learning curve....) I still could not do one of the ribs that can't be reached. I'll do that one and the one on the left wing later with help (Wendy). I set up a string line again to make sure the spars were level & straight and then attached the tanks. I used about "half" of the screws and bolt, as the manual states. The meeting of the two leading edges at the splicer strips line up perfectly. I'm very pleased!Normally I work on Saturday, but since tomorrow is my birthday, I will take the day off and work on the plane. Wendy is taking me out to diner and then out for some fun.....can't wait!
