Brief Description:  Priming bracket & tank plumbing

Good Morning! After a few days of no plane production, I am back and ready to work! I picked up a gallon of alodine yesterday and began this morning by prepping the tank attached brackets for priming. I mixed up a little too much primer and ended up wasting about a cup. I hope my estimating will get better.....As I finished the priming, the doorbell rang and it was FedEx with my Avery & Aircraft Spruce deliveries. I opened up the flaring tool and began to finish the plumbing in both tanks. The flaring tool is very easy to use. I used to do this with plumbing with my dad when I was a kid, so I kind of knew how to use the tool. I ran the 1/4" line for the vent through the snap bushings to the end. The end goes in the clip as shown in image #3. I torqued the nut on the unions and got buzy on the attach brackets. I needed to rivet 3 platenuts on each attach bracket. The inboard attach brackets do not get platenuts, because the platenuts are attached to the spar. I used the rivet squeezer and all the brackets are ready to attach to the tanks. I then riveted the inboard platenuets to the spar. I did a test fit of the cover plates, with the sender units and float arms installed. I had to tweak one of the float arms. The tanks are now 100% ready for closing. Until I get the pro-seal delivery from Van's, I will begin to prep the skins. I started by removing the skins from the frame. I then layed out each skin and used the soldering iron to remove the blue plastic along the rivet lines. This is going to take some time.....
