I got a box in the mail today. It was the pitot mast I ordered from SafeAir 1. I will probably use a heated pitot system in Juliette; these systems cost about $425 - $500....not cheap! Through some internet research, I found the mast can be installed during the wing construction and the pitot can be installed later. This mast is steel and is a bit heavy, but only cost $45. It will fit most of the heated systems I've looked at (Dynon & Gretz). The steel mast sold by Gretz (Stein Air) cost $95 and looks to be the same, so I went for the less expensive deal. I decided to build another LE cradle, so I can build both fuel tanks at the same time. I just started to cleco the skins to the ribs when I ran out of time. I have both tanks on the work benches and will get back to them after I finish the rib priming tomorrow. I'm taking the day off Thursday to get a good long day in.
