Brief Description:  Tip Up Cabin Frame...

This morning I finished up the deburring and countersinking of the frame parts. I decided to use the NAPA Primer on these parts instead of the Azko Epoxy.....I cleacoed the assembly back together and riveted the connecting plate first. Next, I used the squeezer to rivet the inside straps on the forward side of the channels. The aft channels are pop riveted on next. The pop rivets are flush, just like the solid rivets. I used the pneumatic pop rivet tool for the first time...boy is this thing nice! I saves my hands on this one....I should have used this tool when I pop riveted the seat bottoms and the baggage bottom skins on a few weeks ago. Next I fastened the angle mounts together with some "keeper rivets" and set the frame in place on the plane. I need to trim some of the bottom in order for the angle mounts to sit flush. I will work on that tomorrow.
