Brief Description: Air vents, Tip up cabin frame...
The hardware store I got the rustoleum hammered finish paint from will be getting another shippment in tomorrow. I called them today to confirm, so I will get another 2 or 3 cans to finish the interior of the cockpit. I used some pro-seal to mount the vent inlets on the inside of the front side skins. Some builders use rivets, but the pro-seal method looks cleaner. Next, I went back to the tip up cabin frame. I fabricatedt the rest of the angle parts and then discovered that the two channel pieces that I drilled the 1-1/2" hole the other day was wrong. I drilled the holes on the wrong arm of the channels. I re-did the drilling on two more pieces...I will have to order 2 replacement parts tomorrow. I then clamped the two aft F-631 channels onto piece of MDF board and measured out the height and width. My fuselage is about 1/16 of an inch wider than shown on the plans....that will work. I then centered and drilled the connecting plate the two channel halves. I will continue with this tomorrw....
Area to recieve the air-vent and pro-seal is taped off and the primer is cleaned off...
Misc. angle parts fabricated for the cabin frame
The 2 aft channels of the cabin frame are clamped to the piece of MFD board and drilled.
