Brief Description:  Interior Preping & Painting

I've only worked a few hours a day lately on the plane. This entry will total everything I've done since my last entry. I had to take my Mom to the Hospital on Thursday....Hopefully it is not too serious (She's 86, but very strong!). Anyhow, I did manage to find the interior paint I've decided to go with. I found 3 cans at Keck's Hardware (Trenton) and they said they will be getting another shippment in next Wednesday. I removed everything that was not riveted down in the cockpit/baggage areas and then taped off what was not going to be painted. I then cleaned the panels and bench parts with Acetone and began painting. I can't say enough about this paint (Rustoleum Hammered Gray). It goes on easily and with 2 coats, looks excellent! I've got everything done except the actural interior of the plane. I will begin shooting that tomorrow or Monday. I just hope this paint is as durable as it is beautiful! I also got my shippment of Stainless Steel button screws for the interior. The screws will look great in contrast with the new interior color. I also ordered and recieved a couple of bandsaw blades. I sold a bunch of stuff on e-bay this week and have a little cash reserve in my pay-pal account. I use this for airplane stuff...looks like I can check out the catalogs and get ready to place an order........
