Brief Description:  Electric Flaps

No work for the last 2 weeks.....I ended up going to the hospital because I couldn't walk on Saturday, January 3rd. They did all kinds of tests and scans and determined it was a pinched nerve in my lower back/hip....Just what I said it was. I got a bunch of drugs and ended up being layed up for about 4 or 5 days. I weened myself off the pain killers and muscle relaxers in about 3 days and I was back to normal by the following Saturday. I hate not being 100%.....

The shop was filled with boxes from Wendy's shop up until today....I wasn't able to get any work done with all of them in my way. I moved most of them into the dining room and basement and began to work on the plane again....yay! I started on the electric flaps. The first thing was to fabricate alot of little brackets and stuff. The flap actuator needed to be installed in the baggage area right behind the seats. It is held in place with mounted plastic blocks. I also had to drill a small hole in the end of the flap motor arm for a safety wire. This wire will prevent the bolt and rod end bearing from moving out of place.
