I worked on the F-711 Bulkhead tonight. I began by fabricating the F-711C bars. These bars will attach to the horizontal stabilizer. These needed to be shaped and drilled. the next part was the a cross member for added support. This bulkhead is in 2 halves. The halves are riveted together with the bars and the cross member. I then needed to trim a section of the bulkhead between the bars to allow the elevator pushrod to pass through. I got to use my air file....I love a new tool!!! It works great! I thought I would be able to prime by the weekend, but I just got work that my uncle down in Miami passed away this morning. I will be heading down there for the funeral this weekend with my Mom. I will return Monday nite, but my Mom will stay for about 5 weeks. So....priming next week.
The F-711 bulkhead assembled and ready to deburr
This shows the cutout. I used my new air file for the edges....works great!
