Today I continued to work on the F-705 Bulkhead. I mounted the seat belt anchors with bolts and then worked on the upper assembly. The manual is very sparse in this area, so I had to study the plans very carfully to assemble the structure correctly. I also had to fabricate a couple of angle support brackets that are not needed on the slider canopy version. Since I am buidling a tip up, I needed to make & install these. This bulk head also supports the seat adjustment brackets. The last thing I did was to install the flap acuator bearing blocks. These are fitted and drilled, then removed for perminate installation later in the build. I still have to install about 4 nutplates and this bulkhead will be ready for deburring and dimpling. I will get to the other bulkheads tomorrow and hopefully be able to do some priming before the weekend. Once I have all of the bulkhead parts primed, I can begin to rivet these together. I'm really looking forward to assembling the tail section, because that will actually look like I'm putting an airplane together! I am proceeding well so far.....
