Brief Description:  X-10 Cowls, both the upper and lower

10/02/2011

Worked on the X-10 Cowls, both the upper and lower. I applied a couple coats of UV Smooth Prime with spot putty to fill the pin holes in the fiber-glass. Then I dry sanded between each of the coats checking for imperfections and repeating. I also us a high heat ~1200 degree F, resistance paint and painted white the interior of the upper and lower Cowls. So that when removing the cowls I won’t have to view the pink colored raw fiberglass. And I installed two Dimmer circuits, the first is designed to dim the Pilot and Copilot overhead lights and the second dimmer is for dimming the Instrument Panel lighting. And I installed the Alternate Air push-pull cable on the Panel and through the Firewall.

Time about 8 hours for Interior
