Step 2 … After receiving the VA-187 Flanged Duct from Van’s next week I will cut the 4” hole in the CB-1005A Cylinder 6 Aft Baffle as shown in figure 1. Step 3 … Then center the VA-187 4” Flanged Duct and Match-Drilled #30 the holes as shown in figure 1. Step 4 …. Using a Unitbit I enlarged the two pilot holes to 3/4 inch and then filed the excess material joining them as shown in figure 1. Step 5 …. Deburred the edges and holes in preparation for riveting. Step 6 … When the necessary part arrives I will rivet the VA-187 4” Duct Flange to the CB-1005A Cylinder 6 Aft Baffle. Step 7 …. I clecoed the CB-1003C and CB-1004B Double Plates to the CB-1004A Cylinder 6 Aft Baffle and final drilled #40 the holes. Step 8 …. Dissembled, deburred and dimpled the rivet holes in the doubler plate and the cylinder 6 baffle. Step 9 …. Then I riveted the CB-1003C and CB-1004B Double Plates to the CB-1004A Cylinder 6 Aft Baffle using AN426AD3-3.5 rivets. Time about 2 hours.
