Step 1 … I located all the four pieces of the U-1057 Wheel Fairing A and B Left and Right. And sanded the inside of the U-1057 A edges until a near perfect fit with the aft U-1057B was made. Step 2 and 3 …. Squared up the edges of the aft U-1057B. Continued to sand with course sandpaper on a flat stick until both halves fit perfectly. Step 4 … For the assumed difficult task of aligning the Wheel Fairing several marks on the ground and Faring Wheels will need to be made. I began this process by marking a center line on the U-1057B Wheel Fairing Rear on the tail. This included both a vertical center line and a midpoint mark. See figure 4 for detail.
Time about 3 hours for both Left and Right Wheel Fairings.
