Step 4, Now that the Landing Gear is in its permanent down position I slid one of the U-1003 Brake Mounts in to the left U-1001 Main Landing Gears Leg. After aligning correctly I final drilled with a 3/8” drill bit. Then I removed the Brake Mount and deburred the holes. I repeated Step 4 for the right side fuselage. Step 5, I fabricated six U-1008 Spacers from AT6-058 X 3/8” tubing exactly 21/32 inches each. Step 6, Created the Left Brake Mount Assembly from the parts described in Figure 4, Left Brake Mount Assembly. Repeated for the right side Brake Mount Assembly. Torqued to 70 in/lbs the AN4 bolts with the digital torque wrench. Step 7, I slid the Left Brake Mount Assembly on the axle of the U-1001 Main Gear Leg Left and bolted as shown in Figure 5 with a AN6-23A bolt, a couple of AN960-616 washers, and a AN365-624 nut. Then I torqued the nut to 190 in/lbs with my digital torque wrench.
Time about 4 hours because I had to prime and final paint the parts.
