Section 37 FUEL SYSTEM page 37-2 Steps 1 to 5

Step 1, After coating the threads only with thread lube I installed the AN826-6D Tee into the lower part of the VA-178G Fuel Valve.
Then I installed the two AN822-6D elbows and the ¼” plug as shown in figure 1.

Step 2, After locating the hardware called out for in figure 1 I installed the completed VA-178G Fuel Valve to the center tunnel F-1048C-1 Fuel Valve Bracket. Torque the bolts to 70 inch pounds.

Step 3, Pounded the VA-178A Fuel Handle Shaft with a brass hammer and scrap aluminum to protect the shaft into the VA-178G Fuel Valve and ten placing in the MS-35214-29 screw, AN960-6 washers and AN365-632A nut.

Step 4, I located the only AN837-6D 45 degree Elbow Bulkhead Fitting, AN spacer, and AN924-6D Nut to the F-1001 Firewall Bulkhead Assembly. Looking from the front I angled the nipple at about a 10 o’clock position.
