Brief Description:  Completed Steps 1 to 6 Section 10-2

08/03/2008 …… Completed Steps 1 to 6 Section 10-2. Visited Home Depot to purchase a 3/8” X 16 Tap for completing part F-1012E Tie Down. After finishing Step 1 I completed Step 2 and 3 that consisted of cleco together F-1012A and 1012B and added completed F-1012E and match drilled all the necessary holes in common. Manufactured F-1011E Rudder Cable from a length of AA6-063x3/4” as specified in Figure 3. Then match-drilled the nut-plate K1000-3 to the newly created F-1001E as spelled out in Figure 4. Finally to complete Section 10-2 I fabricated the F-100A Bulkhead Stiffener form J-Channel aluminum to the 6.5” length.

Section 10-3 Step 1, I correct the bow found in the two parts F-1011C Horizontal Stabilizer Attachment Bars as specified in Figure 1. using the “preload” method. And then deburred and smoothed F-1001C parts. Steps 2 to 3, attached the F-10011C bars to the F-1001 bulk head and match drill the correct holes as specified by Figure 2. Step 5, I then completed a similar operation using the F-1011A Bulk Head Stiffener and F-100E Rudder Cable Angle to the F-1011 Bulk Head as specified by Figure 3. Step 4, I then using a Unibit attempted to drill a 3/8” Dia. hole as stated in Figure 3 but my Unibit will only handle hole diameter sizes up to 1/” dia. Therefore I will complete this step after I obtain a applicable Unibit drill. Time about 2 hours.
