Brief Description: Spar Box Install and Wing Alignment III
Today I fitted both wings for the first time.
I have not put the spar bolts in yet, but both wings are fully home against the wing roots and can be rotated to line up with the wing roots.
I had to take each wing out again just once, to do some filing on the rectangular hole in the wing root for the spars, to get them fully home.
The next step is to get the spar bolts in and then see if I can still line the wings up with the wing roots and set the angle of incidence bolts. I bought some bolts from the hardware store that are 1/2" longer but the same diameter as the spar bolts 5/8". I am going to file them to taper towards the end and use them to help me line the holes in the spar box and wing spars up before replacing them with the original spar bolts.
