I dismantled the main wheels to leave only the brake calipers on the axles. I deburred the inside of one gear weldment to get it on the axle, the other did not need to be deburred. I am ready to drill the hole to secure the weldments to the gear legs as soon as the v-block I have ordered arrives.
You are supposed to use two washers on each axle to keep the weldment clear of the caliper. I don't think these come with the kit, so I will have to buy them locally.
