Filed flanges where canopy frame rubbed. But, when I placed skins on, they bound and the frame wouldn't open. I filed the canopy skin fwd edge to ensure the plans recommended 3/32 " gap, but no joy. Checked a few websites - no joy. Spoke with RV-7 Chad Jensen - said a common problem. I will install the plastic (UHMW) tape under the front edge and see if that helps, otherwise will need to file a bevel in the edges for clearance.
