Brief Description: trim tab hinge wire and left elevator counterweigh
A replacement lead counterweight from Van's arrived (I cut one fo the original wrong). I trimmed it properly this time on the band saw and with a file, drilled out the holes, test fitted with the other CW on the CW arm, filed a couple places that rubbed on rivets, then primed and installed. Next, I bent the trim tab piano hinge wire to proper shape where it comes out, so it can be securely safety wired to the spar. As per Van's recommendation, use a torch and heat the wire to a dull red to make it easier to bend. I'm basically done with the empennage except rebuilding the trim tab when the parts arrive. Then, start the wings, which arrive in 5 days!
