Brief Description: finishing L elevator
|

Finished riveting trim spar (bottom only - top stays open for trim tab hinge later) and tip ribs. Clamped trailing edge and wedge, drilled thru this into L-angle into wood (used template, 84 degree angle, so drilling is perpendicular to elevator chord, not top or bottom skin). Countersunk wedge, dimpled skin. Had to repair pneumaticsqueezer - became jammed in extended ram position, so I disassembled, freed piston, reassembled. Tomorrow, I will proseal both elevator trailing edges and allow to cure a few days, and in the meantime, start the trim tab. Wings should be here in a week.
