Brief Description: Reamed, deburred, dimpled, & scuffed aft top skin
Today we reamed and drilled in assembly all the holes on the aft skin. We then took off the skin and deburred and dimpled the it using the new DRDT-2 dimpler and it worked like a charm! This was the first time I have had a chance to use it and now I am glad that I paid the premium to get the best! There were a few stringers and such that I had to dimple in the air plane using the hand squeezer. The skin was then scuffed and is ready for priming now. There was one hole in the skin that did not match up with the other prepunched holes and when we drilled it, the drill went into an angle holding the center stringer. Claude is in the process of making another angle and tomorrow we will put it back in the airplane. It will require a little fitting to make it work right and it might mean we have to mount the skin one more time before we prime it.
