Brief Description: Hole cut for right step...over my objections
Yesterday, Claude had a cataract removed from his right eye & would you believe it, he was out at the airport this morning before I got there and was ready for work. I, however, refused to let him rivet. Can you imagine what all that shaking might do to a new lens in his eye? ....... So, despite my objections and because everyone I asked seemed to think it would be awful just to have one step, we cut another hole in the fuselage and started the installation process for the "left" external step. Now I hope everyone will be satisfied, we will be balanced with a step on both sides. We didn't rivet it in place for the reason I gave above. I wouldn't want to have to look all over the hangar floor for Claude's new intraocular lens! We will wait awhile on that. .... The O-320 Lycoming engine was shipped yesterday and should be delivered to the airport tomorrow. It will be in a plastic sealed bag so though we will not be mounting it any time soon, it will be ready!
