Brief Description:  Weight & balance

We put the cowl & spinner on and added all the interior and did a weight and balance. I had borrowed digital scales from a stock car racer but when we finally got the platforms under the wheels, we found that the scales didn't work. So we took them back and borrowed another pair. These worked perfectly! We got the main wheels up on the platforms by me lifting the wing at the spar and Claude slipping the platform under the wheels. To get the front wheel on its platform, I stood on the step and leaned back while Claude lifted the nose gear and slide the platform under. After having to do this 2 times, Claude and I have become experts but I am too sore to put my new found knowledge to work....... The total empty weight is 1074#. I calculated the CG using Kitlog Pro and found that all scenarios my gross weight and CG are within limits. I used full fuel and with a 10 gallon reserve, no baggage, 100# baggage, me as single pilot, me and my wife Nell, and me and Claude. All fell within the weight limit and CG. However, with the 2 heavies, Claude and me, we will not be able to carry any baggage except maybe a light flight bag.
