Brief Description: Lt. side skirts drilled- Lt. PTT & auto pilot swit
We noted that there was slight misalignment of the inside skirt on the right and rather than "make it work", I ordered another part from Van's. It should be here in a few days. We then shifted to the left side and made the left canopy skirt brace, drilled it to the frame side bow, and drilled all the holes in the outer skirt. We then inserted the inside skirt and drilled both to the side canopy frame bow. See Image #1. All seems to fit extremely well. I think that we should be able to finish the side skirts next week and maybe start on the left aft skirt while we wait on the part for the right side skirt.
I then pulled the left PTT and auto pilot disconnect wires through the beautiful Teak grip and soldered them to the tiny switches. Image #2 shows the grip with the switches in place and the EFIS and auto pilot etc. in the background. Both switches work as they should. I will not wire the right stick yet since leaving it out for the moment aids in getting in and out.
