Brief Description:  Lt. wing tip- OAT probe- BNC connectors mounted

Claude finished installing the cable on the marker beacon antennae in the left wing tip and mounted the wing tip. We hope that we will be able to leave them on even for the inspection but I don't know. We checked the strobes, nav. lights and landing lights because they are all routed through the left wing tip and they all work!
We have read that mounting the OAT probe in the fresh air scoop gives a high reading but it is so convenient that we did it anyway. I had put several layers of shrink wrap and RTV on the portion of the probe that is inside the cabin in hopes that this will insulate and help with an accurate reading. Incidentally, the probe is hooked to the GRT EIS and EFIS. When we fired everything up, we got an OAT reading of 94 degrees in our hangar and it is only the 2 day of May. What will it be like in August?
I worked on BNC connectors today, mounting them on both ends of the Comm. 1 & 2 antennas, the VOR and the glide slope antennas. Both the VOR and glide slope are routed through a Y connector to the Archer Nav. antenna now mounted in the right wing tip.
We hooked up the Garmin 430 GPS antenna, the Nav antennas and the comm. antennas and they all work! We called the Unicom and they heard us loud and clear even from within our hangar! We got a reading on the localizer again even in the hangar. The GPS WAAS antenna has to be on a 9 foot lead so we could hook it up to the unit and move the antenna outside to pick up 5 satellites
