The swing down panels may not be the answer I was hoping for, when they are in place with the avionics boxes in place there is interference either from the backs of the switches on the panel or the stuff attached to the sub panel. After alot of back and forth I am just going to mount the radio forward of the sub panel and move the transponder to the radio stack area. There should be enough space above the light dimmers and flap switch and below the GTN navigator to squeeze in the slide in case for the transponder. Got the GTR remote radio mounted securely and was able to start running some wires.
