Time to trim the cowling halves. Dremel and a diamond wheel cut these fairly easily and a long sanding block used to bring the cuts down to the scribe lines. I made this sanding bar from scrap L channel with some adhesive 80 grit paper on it. makes the long horizontal cowling split line much easier to sand. Set the right lower gear fairing into the epoxy mix to give it a nice smooth fit around the perimeter like the left side. The main gear pants are nearly finished and I'm glad it's almost done. Too much sanding and fiberglass dust for my liking. Still need to fit the nose gear pant though.
