Finished and installed the canopy release mechanism to the sub panel. The mechanism works smoothly. Not sure if Vans has the pull rod available yet to go throught the dash to complete the system and not convinced 100% I need to have a pul handle in the dash to release the canopy as I don't plan on aerobatics or having a parachute available. Ther is a valid argument that the release can be useful in a ditching or if you somehow flip over too so I will make that decision soon. The weather was great so I was able to paint the roll bar and related parts and will get them installed next session and then I can fit the canopy frame and the related pins and locking mechanism
