Brief Description:  EAA Tech Counselor / Fuel / Floors

I had a visit last night from my EAA tech counselor and got a green light to close up the baggage floor pans. All was ok except for a rivet or two that were slightly under set and a rivet that was bent on the tail and an issue with the braided fuel line (possibly twisted) - this was loosened and checked and it's not twisted. So overall a "very good job" report from the counselor. These visits, while a little stressful to have your work critiqued by an expert give a lot of confidence and motivation to push forward.

Today I finished the fuel line bracket installation. There are slots for 2 lines but only the fuel line is used, the return line is not used. Completed the flap UHMV bearing cutting (bandsaw) and installation then began riveting the baggage floors into final position. One note - jump fwd to section 33-11 and insert the snap bushings and route the rudder cables through them beneath the baggage floor. If you wait to do this later, it will be much harder to do than now before the floors are down and acces becomes limited.
