I've taken delivery of a sound-deading enclosure kit from www.soundservice.co.uk in the hope it will keep the neighbours happy. It comes with a seriously heavy anti-vibration mat to sit the compressor on and loads of sound-deadening "heavy foam". The idea is to box the unit in under one of the work benches with 18mm MDF and line the box with the foam.
I spent today getting everything ready. Rather annoyingly, in trying to shift 80kg worth of compressor (wheels taken off) I slipped and it fell onto the elevator skins putting a nice big crease in them! DOH! As angry with myself as I am, I've decided to stop thinking about it and just order another pair from Vans...
All of the box sides are cut ready for construction next week...
