Brief Description: Started Empennage, HS Steps 1 - 5
Decided not to wait for the garage to be torn down and replaced, so started in our spare "dog" room.Started off by cleaning up the edges of the spar reinforcement bars and polished them up with a Scotch-Brite pad. Clecoed and match drilled the bars to the rear spars.Somehow, I forgot to order the odd-sized drill bits (#19, #12, etc) so I will have to drill those holes out when I get those bits in. You can see in Image 3 that I have marked the holes that need to be enlarged to #19. (I temporarily used the next smallest size I had, which is a 5/32 bit).I also drilled out the hinge brackets with a #30 bit.
