Now that the two fiberglass layups I put on the inside of the intake have cured I removed the cowl and started chipping out the foam. I got all the foam off and then sanded what was left so there was no foam remaining. I then added two more layers of fiberglass to the assembly, overlapping the joint where the intake meets the cowl. While I was at it, I patched the holes in the cowl left from the initial fitting of the cowl the the engine/spinner.
