Brief Description: Right Aileron and Flap Fitting 5
Did some final work on the flap brace, reworking the outboard end to step the brace up onto the rear spar. I also split the hinge pin into two and made the screw-down retainer on the flap brace. I use he same method of securing the pins on the left flap. I also drilled the pilot hole for the aileron control rod. I leanred from last time and put in father inboard than the plans call for. For a starting point I set the bellcranck on the top skin is the approximate mounting location and drew a line down to the aileron horn. Using the line and the other wing as a guide, I drilled a #19 pilot and then used the step drill to take the hole out to 5/8".
I the rotated the wing back to the vertical position on the jig. When my wife got home, she helped me move the wing back to the outside of the jig.
