I used chemical-resistant sharpies to hand-draw the traces onto the clad board. Then left it to soak in ferric chloride for a while.
While the board was being etched I continued to wire up the ground buss.
Once the board was complete I cleaned the part and then assembled the components onto the board. I had to use a rasor to clean up a couple traces, but overall it came out great. I colored over the traces while I checked out the board with a multimeter, so i wouldn't get things mixed up.
With the board complete I cut out holes in the case for the connectors.
