Today I mounted the backup battery for the EFIS. The wirjing that comes in the harness is 22awg and limited to 24". I needed another 6" so I could mount the battery on the opposite side of the subpanel. I tore the harness apart again and used 20awg in place of the 22 so I could make the longer run.
I also relocated the aux power outlet the the right subpanel next to the breakers. This location will keep any wire out of the way. The outlet is more likely to be used on the passenger side anyway. If I mount a portable GPS for the pilot I will hard-wire it (I already have a breaker in place for one).
