Brief Description:  Wiring 10

More wiring work, same day.

I continued running wires to the appropriate locations. I realized that the EMS wires were long enough to route all the way down to the shut, so I replaced my existing wires with those directly from the EMS eliminating the need for extra connections. As I terminated wires I removed my temporary blue-tape tags and replaced them with shrink-tube wire markers.

I wired up my ignition/starter switch. I still haven't terminated anything FWF, I still have to finaize the firewall penetration and FWF wire routing before I do that. Except for the firewall pass-through, I routed the magneto P-Leads separately from all the other wires. These are shielded, but very noisy wires since they come off the ignition. I added the RPM sense wires to the EMS with the in-line 30k resistors.

I also ran some wires back to the wing terminal strips, but ran out of that gauge wire so I could run the remainder. Based on my current light equipment I am running 14ga for most of the lights and pitot heat. However, if I upgrade to LED I could use smaller wire, but for now I will wire it assumeing worse case. I can always use big wire for a small load, but not the other way around. The weight penalty is minimal if I run new wire out to the wingtips if the LED switch is made.
