Brief Description:  New CB Panel 1

Back when I had my panel CNC cut I had a second blank right side panel made just in case I needed to change the circuit breaker configuration. Well, I'm glad I had that panel cut since a change was required. I had to add a few more circuits requiring that I change the spacing and position of the CBs. In this case I had to drill them myself rather than the pretty CNC cut holes.

As part of the change I have decided to do away with the map box. I put a ot of work into the nice flush door and hindge setup, but it was just getting too cramped behind the panel with the CBs and wiring. Ohh well, a little wasted time and money, not the first or last time that will happen.

Today I laid out the pattern for the new CBs and started drilling all the holes. To keep it as accurate as possible I center-punched the holes and then pilot drilled with #40. I then clamped the panel in the drill press and finished the holes with a step-drill. The first two rows will be the commercial breaker I was using before. The bottom row (not yet drilled) will be pullable breakers for those Items that may have to be shut down in an emergency or failure (such as trim, Alt field..)
