Since I am changing my brake system over to DOT fluid I can't use the Vans brake reservoir. The Vans unit is vented to the atmosphere and the DOT fluid would absorb moisture out of the air. I bought a unit from a hot-rod shop that is made for DOT fluid and has the diaphram under the cap to prevent moisture from getting into the fluid. The unit is machined from a solit billet of aluminum and is a bit heavy. it will have to go on a lightening-hole diet plan. The other downside is that the new reservoir it drilled and tapped for 1/4-24 threads while standard ANbolts are fine thread 1/4-32. I ordered some course-thread fostner-head screws from ACS that are drilled for stafetywire. I need to shorten the screws a bit, hence the excessive washers in the pictures.
