Bake when I fitted the main gear and match-drilled the gear towers to the main spar I found there was a slight interference with the bolt head and the gear web. The towers are placed per plans (they only fit one way, so not much room for error here) and the main spar was pre-drilled by Vans, so it looks like this was cause by changes made to the fuselage kit over the 15-year gap from when the wing kit was sold to the prior owner and when I bought the fuselage kit. Either way, I had to provide clearance for the bolt so I spoke with Vans and took their advice to add a mousehole in the gear tower web to provide clearance. U use various grinderis on the dremel to make a smoot hole and good flat for the bolt. I then painted the towers. Overall it came out well.
